Born on May 17, 1969, in Surfers Paradise, Australia, Coffey turns 47 on Tuesday.

A television salon personality, Coffey owned Industrie Hair Gurus in Ridgewood, before selling it in 2011.

She was originally a contestant on the Bravo show "Shear Genius," and later as the eponymous star of her own show, "Tabatha's Salon Takeover."

The show, renamed "Tabatha Takes Over" for its fourth season, involves Coffey working to revitalize failing salons that are on the brink of closing.

Coffey, whose mother died from cancer in 2010, has partnered with Hackensack University Medical Center to cut wigs for children battling cancer.

The project resulted in a partnership with St. Baldrick's Foundation, a nonprofit organization that raises money for childhood cancer research by hosting worldwide head-shaving events.
